After the excitement of last week, this week has been a bit quieter!
Needless to say we had a good celebration of The Caller’s Durham National win in our local pub the Rock and Fountain, with his owner Colleen Ford-Ellis. The pub is run by another owner in our yard, Mark Duthie so our winners are often celebrated here!
There’s a lovely clip of Colleen talking about The Caller on our facebook and twitter feeds.
Espresso Freddo (form figures 122 for his latest three runs) runs at Newmarket today at 1.30pm. He’s in tremendous form, has a lovely low weight and will love the soft ground. We’re hopeful of a very big run in this competitive handicap. Kieran Shoemark rides.
First Destination was a bit fresh and keen for her first run of the season but we were very pleased with her. She’s entered again at Chepstow on Wednesday.
We took a couple to gallop after racing at Chepstow on Tuesday. Passing Thru and Golden Grove are both nice horses to look out for in bumpers this season.
At home we’re continuing to upgrade and add to our facilities. During our quieter spell we’ve taken the opportunity to re-rubberise the flooring to our horse walker.
